Invert image colors

The default invert image color pass flips red, green, and blue together. Each pixel becomes its complementary color while opacity stays the same.

Screenshots, scans, and camera pictures use the same invert. Drop a picture, then download the color-reversed file without converting it first.

Photos with warm skin tones or sunset orange shift toward cool cyan and blue. That complementary flip is the classic invert photo colors look.

Use the channel buttons to invert RGB colors one at a time. Turn off green and blue to invert only the red channel.

A full invert is a complementary-color map: orange becomes blue, red becomes cyan, yellow becomes a deep blue.

Hue pairs sit opposite each other on the color wheel. Inverting RGB is a fast way to preview those opposite hues on a real photo.
